Preliminary Services

Discuss and assess Client's requirements and formulate brief for project together

Visit the site and carry out an initial appraisal

Advise on outline programme and the need for other consultants/specialist contractors/suppliers

Feasibility studies as neccessary. Discuss with client alternative solutions and their technical/financial implications

Advise on need to obtain planning permissions and other statutory requirements

Standard Services

Detail site appraisal/evaluation. At land-form close attention is paid to the site context and the uniqueness of place at the same time as focusing on the Client's needs

Preparation of outline proposals/site masterplanning and urban design and approximate estimate of costs. Agree with Client.

Develop sketch scheme proposals from those agreed in outline. Drawings typically indicate the spatial arrangements including building massing, site circulation routes, layout of open spaces, general levels, vehicular/cyclist/pedestrian circulation, form and layout of planting, sculptural elements/landmarks etc. Sketches, sections, plans are used at all stages to enable a full explanation of the proposals. At land-form the focus is on the 3-Dimensional over the plan form. Discuss and agree with Client and advise on any changes to the estimated cost and programme

Consult with Planning Authority as neccessary and submit any neccessary application for outline/detailed planning permission

Development of detailed proposals in sufficient detail to obtain the Client's approval of proposed materials/elements in design. At land-form great attention is paid to ensuring the detail of paving, walls, fencing, structures, street furniture, lighting and planting is co-ordinated to ensure a united and complimentary scheme and an overall sculptural/public art approach is integral to the development of the design

Prepare all production drawings, schedules and specification of materials and workmanship required for the execution of the work

Provide information for bills of quantities to be prepared by the project quantity surveyor. Advise on suitable contractors and agree the final list of tenderers with the Client. Invite tenders from approved contractors; appraise and advise on tenders submitted.

Administer the contract during site operations. At land-form an open approach to dealing with issues on site is taken and there is a recognition of the need for an immediate response. Regular visits are essential in maintaining high quality control and the proposed frequency would be agreed with the Client at the outset.

Check and certify the authenticity of contract accounts and make periodic financial reports to the Client. Administer the terms of the contract relating to the completion of the works.
